What is clicktirana.com ?

Clicktirana.com is a website majorly thought for tourists and other visitors who want to know more about Tirana, the places, the culture and everything else. Very helpful as a location finder with its map where you can search for a route between two points, distinguish places, objects and insitutions. So the very existence of this page is, of course, due to our school project but it also is a way to provide everyone interested with full information about our city, the capital of Albania.

What is included in clicktirana.com?

The map and all of its features is the basic component of clicktirana.com. It is located in the main page when users can also find the latest events in Tirana plus some other useful information as the weather forecast or the exchange rate, updated day by day. Another important page is the gallery where users can find information and photos about each of the objects shown in the map divided in categories and subcategories. Then there's the events page where users can find everything about the different cultural events taking place in Tirana. And last but not least, the forum. Very helpful for the users who want to communicate or exchange information with each other.

What do users get from logging in to the site?

When users log in to the site they will automatically have their personal profile with some information about them. They can watch other persons'profile and leave comments, but the most important thing is they'll get e-mail notifications with the latest news and events in Tirana. They'll be able to enter in the forum and communicate with other users as well. That is for now. In the future we plan to make possible for users adding features to the map and photos to the gallery.

What application is used for building the map?

Google Maps is the application used for building our map. Many of its objects, roads or other features were added to the existing map by using the Google API documentation.

Who made this site?

Well, this site is the product of the many efforts of five IT girls for their school project. It's the first of the many websites we wish to build and develop with time and hopefully! it will be appreciated...
